Youth Fitness Program

The Touro Youth Fitness Program is designed to make exercise fun for children. Each class includes: resistance training, balance and coordination, aerobic games, and many fundamental sports movements. Children can increase strength above and beyond that accompanying growth and maturation by participating in a well-designed resistance training and physical activity program. Regular participation may increase bone mineral density, enhance cardiorespiratory fitness, develop motor performance skills, and lower elevated blood sugar. Children who participate in regular physical activity have shown iimprovements in mood and self appraisal. It's our goal to teach today's youth the importance of an active lifestyle and promoting confidence in themselves and their abilities. (ages 6-12)
